Varitask® Classic Product Specifications
Base Structure:
All steel construction of commercial quality cold rolled steel. Structural support members are 16 gauge. Adjustable column is welded to base legs for maximum support. Static load is 300 lbs. All joined components are either MIG or spot welded. Top support brackets are 11 gauge.
Drive System:
Electric, 115 volt, 60Hz AC motor. No hydraulics, belts, weights or pulleys. System draws only 1.6 amps under full load; 300 lbs. gross weight. Motor drives a steel Acme thread, linear actuator with 7.4:1 gear reduction ratio. All components are U.L. recognized. Tested to 21,000 cycles without failure.
Glide System:
Patented glide system maximizes stability and alignment by compensating for off-center loads. No additional adjustment required throughout life cycle.
Travel Range:
14" of vertical adjustment, from 26" to 40" (with 1-1/8" thick top). Travel time is 28 seconds (30" per minute).
Work Surfaces:
Tops are constructed with 1-1/8" core material of medium density (45-50 lb.) particle board overlaid with .030" high pressure laminate and backer sheet. Flexible PVC T-molding is standard edge treatment. Rectangular or corner configurations are available in either single or dual surface. Numerous color finishes available to choose from.
Keyboard Mechanism (optional):
Optional DataCenter keyboard mechanism attaches to monitor surface to provide height adjustment 5" below to 7" above monitor surface. Full range of 21" to 47". Articulating mechanism also offers +15 degrees to -15 degree tilt on the keyboard. DataCenter mechanism not available on dual column units. Functional load is 100 lbs.
Paint Finish:
High solids polyester paint is 1.5 MIL thick and baked at oven temperature of 300° for a durable finish. Prior to painting, all components are cleaned via three-stage washer/sealer system.
Certifications:
Meets or exceeds appropriate ANSI/BIFMA x5.1-1993 standards. Bases are CSA and CE approved.
Warranty:
Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in material and/or workmanship for both base and worksurface. Electro-mechanical components have five (5) year warranty.
